COTTAGE CHEESE DESSERT Romania
2 pounds cottage cheese, drained
8 eggs ,beaten or 2 cups Eggbeaters
4 tablespoons corn meal
1 tablespoon cornstarch or cornflour.
1/2 teaspoon of salt or immitation salt
2 teaspoon butter
1 cup sour cream or imitation
1/4 cup sugar
Beat the cottage cheese in a bowl until smooth. add the eggs and continue beating untill well mixed. add the corn meal, cornstarch, and salt and beat together. Preheat oven to 350 deg. Butter a 9 inch spring-form pan and pour the mixture into it. Dot with the butter. Bake in a 350 deg oven for 35 minutes or until delicately brown. remove the sides of the spring form. Serve hot, garnished with sour cream and sprinkled with sugar.
